Peux-tu nous raconter ton évolution avant de rejoindre la formation?
J’ai un bac B et j’ai toujours eu une attirance naturelle pour l’informatique. À force de curiosité et d’autoformation, j’ai commencé par des postes en support IT, puis j’ai évolué progressivement jusqu’à devenir Info-Manager.
Dans mon travail, la data a toujours eu une place importante. J’adorais analyser les informations pour optimiser les processus et améliorer la prise de décision. Mais à un moment, j’ai ressenti un vrai frein : je savais manipuler des données, mais sans forcément appliquer les meilleures pratiques. Parfois, je sentais que mes analyses manquaient de rigueur, ce qui pouvait altérer leur pertinence.
J’ai donc voulu renforcer mes compétences en data analytics, structurer mon approche et mieux comprendre les outils modernes qui permettent de traiter les données de manière efficace.
Qu’est-ce qui t’a convaincu de choisir Artefact School of Data?
Mon expérience professionnelle m’a amené à travailler sur des projets impliquant la data, mais sans formation spécifique dans le domaine, j’avais tendance à m’appuyer uniquement sur Excel et quelques outils basiques. Je savais que ce n’était pas suffisant pour exploiter tout le potentiel des données.
Quand je me suis retrouvé en période de transition professionnelle, j’ai vu cela comme une opportunité d’apprendre et de monter en compétences. Je voulais maîtriser les outils de data analytics modernes, comprendre les bonnes pratiques et être capable de travailler de manière structurée et efficace.
Ce qui m’a convaincu avec Artefact, c’est son approche pratique et immersive. Il ne s’agit pas d’une formation purement théorique : ici, on applique immédiatement ce que l’on apprend, et on évolue dans un environnement stimulant.
Comment s’est déroulée ton expérience pendant la formation?
L’un des aspects qui m’a marqué, c’est le rythme soutenu mais progressif. Chaque jour, on abordait de nouveaux concepts qui nous servaient immédiatement pour les exercices et projets à venir. On n’avait pas le temps d’oublier ce qu’on venait d’apprendre !
J’ai aussi beaucoup apprécié la structure des journées : d’abord une présentation théorique, puis des exercices pratiques à réaliser seul, et enfin des sessions de travail collaboratif avec les autres participants. Cet équilibre permet d’assimiler les concepts en profondeur et de comprendre comment les appliquer dans un contexte professionnel réel.
Un autre point fort, c’est l’accompagnement. Dès qu’on avait un doute ou une difficulté, il y avait toujours quelqu’un pour nous aider, ce qui rendait l’apprentissage fluide et motivant.
Quels bénéfices concrets retires-tu de cette formation?
Ce bootcamp a complètement changé ma manière d’aborder l’analyse de données. Avant, j’avais tendance à travailler de manière intuitive, mais sans réelle structure. Aujourd’hui, j’ai une méthodologie claire, des outils performants et une approche beaucoup plus rigoureuse.
J’ai découvert de nouvelles techniques et surtout des solutions que je ne connaissais pas du tout avant. Grâce à cette formation, je sais maintenant automatiser des tâches, optimiser mes analyses et gagner un temps précieux dans mes missions professionnelles.
Je suis convaincu que ces compétences vont me permettre d’être plus efficace et d’apporter une vraie valeur ajoutée dans mes futurs projets.
Si vous deviez décrire la School of Data en un mot, lequel choisiriez-vous?
Cool ! Parce que l’apprentissage s’est fait dans une super ambiance, avec une équipe de formateurs au top et un cadre stimulant et bienveillant. J’ai autant appris grâce aux intervenants qu’avec les autres participants, et cette dynamique a rendu l’expérience encore plus enrichissante.

What was your background before enrolling on the course?
Hi, my name is Pierre-Alexandre Baril and I'm currently doing a Data Engineer course at Artefact School of Data. Before that, I did a Masters specialising in digital health at EPITA, where I was able to explore the technological issues involved in this fast-changing sector.
I then had the opportunity to do several internships that allowed me to explore different areas of data: Data Analysis, Machine Learning and Cyber Security. These experiences strengthened my understanding of infrastructures and analysis models, but I quickly realised that to go further, it was essential to acquire more advanced skills in Data Engineering.
This field, at the heart of data flow management and optimisation, is a key component of the data ecosystem. I wanted to delve deeper into this technical aspect, so I chose to join the Data Engineer course at Artefact, which offers a highly operational approach in line with market needs.
What did you enjoy during your data engineering training?
What I was looking for in this training was not a long, theoretical academic programme, but practical learning that could be directly applied in a company. That's exactly what I found at Artefact.
One of the aspects that I particularly appreciated was the immediate practical application of the concepts, with concrete projects and the use of the most up-to-date tools on the market. Working with these technologies in real-life conditions enabled me to develop expertise that could be put to good use, and to feel ready to take on technical challenges as soon as the course was over.
The teaching support and learning environment are also strong points. The team is available and always ready to answer questions, which makes it easier to assimilate complex concepts. Today, I'm really satisfied to have followed this programme, which has given me solid technical skills and a more in-depth vision of the Data Engineer profession.

What was your background before enrolling on the course?
I'm Brigitte Fauvet, Product Manager specialising in digital innovation. I started out with a PhD in mathematics, specialising in image processing, before working for over 10 years in AI R&D in SS2i, first on image processing, then on search engines. I then moved into Product Management, with another 10 years' experience in start-ups and major groups, where I designed new user experiences for digital services. Today, I chose the Data Product Management course to update my skills, gain a better understanding of the new technologies and challenges of AI, and be able to integrate these developments into my future projects,I acquired Artefact's methodologies for managing data projects, which now gives me a solid foundation and real confidence in my methods.,The course also opened my mind to new perspectives. I discovered that creative agencies are investing in AI and that they have a key role to play in democratising it for the general public. Since Artefact has links with this type of player, I've been able to explore this world, which is of great interest to me for the future. I'd say 'benchmark' because the ecosystem created around Artefact makes it a reference that I'll be following for a long time. But I'd also say 'inspiring', because I met people who are passionate about data and AI, and that gave me a great deal of energy for the future.
Aujourd’hui, j’ai choisi la formation Data Product Management pour mettre à jour mes compétences, mieux comprendre les nouvelles technologies et enjeux de l’IA, et pouvoir intégrer ces évolutions dans mes futurs projets.
Why did you choose the School of Data?
The School of Data is a French benchmark in AI, and that's what attracted me in the first place. It's also one of the few schools to welcome participants directly into a company, which meant I could get as close as possible to the business issues surrounding data and AI.
What did you enjoy during your data analytics training?
I particularly appreciated the quality of the courses and the experience of the trainers. They share their expertise in a very practical way, which is essential when managing data projects. The experiential learning and peer-to-peer sharing were also strong points, because there's so much to learn from feedback from other professionals in the sector.
How has this training helped you in your career development?
J’ai acquis les méthodologies d’Artefact pour piloter des projets data, ce qui me donne aujourd’hui une base solide et une vraie confiance dans mes méthodes.
La formation m’a également ouvert l’esprit sur de nouvelles perspectives. J’ai découvert que des agences créatives investissent dans l’IA et qu’elles ont un rôle clé dans sa démocratisation auprès du grand public. Artefact étant en lien avec ce type d’acteurs, j’ai pu explorer cet univers, ce qui m’intéresse beaucoup pour la suite.
If you had to describe the School of Data in one word, what would it be?
Je dirais "référent" car l’écosystème créé autour d’Artefact en fait une référence que je vais suivre longtemps. Mais aussi "inspirant", car j’ai rencontré des personnes passionnées par la data et l’IA, et cela m’a transmis une belle énergie pour la suite.

Are our courses face-to-face and/or distance learning?
We recommend that you come to one of our face-to-face courses to be at the heart of the leader in Data and Artificial Intelligence. However, if you prefer or if you can't do otherwise, our courses can also be taken at a distance or as a hybrid! Everything is designed so that you can follow our courses from our classroom or from home, as you wish. We have made this choice to optimise your learning during the course.
What support is there to help you find a job?
Every day, our students have the opportunity to work alongside Artefact employeesone of the leaders in Data. This means that every day, they meet Data Scientists, Analysts, Engineers, Data Consultants and Data Marketing experts who make up their team. professional network and increase their chances of securing a future position with Artefact or with a partner.
In addition, we offer a Career Day to help you find a job. This includes workshops on job hunting, preparing CVs and LinkedIn profiles, as well as advice on technical interviews.
Who are the teachers?
Your tutors are Data Scientists, Analysts or Senior Engineers by trade. This is very important to us because they work at the very heart of one of the leaders specialising in Data and AI: Artefact. This means that the teachers are in daily contact with Artefact customers and are responding to real, current issues in the field. Our training courses are therefore designed around what they experience on a daily basis.
