What was your background before enrolling on the course?
My name's Patrice, I've got a A-levels and I've always been interested in IT. I taught myself and, over time, I gradually progressed through various support functions until I became an IT Manager. Working with data has always been something I've loved, but I felt I wasn't doing my job properly. I lacked method and good practice in data processing, which could affect the quality of my analyses. The training really helped me to rectify these shortcomings by giving me a more structured and efficient approach. Today, I feel more at ease and much more precise in the way I process data.
Why did you choose the School of Data?
I gradually came to work on projects involving data, even though I didn't have any specific knowledge in this area. The work wasn't always done optimally, and I felt that I lacked the right tools and methods. When I found myself unemployed, I saw this as an opportunity to deepen my skills and learn how to deal with data properly. I didn't want to limit myself to Excel to do the work, but to go further and acquire a real mastery of the tools and best practices.
What did you enjoy during your data analytics training?
First of all, we kept up a steady pace, but it was still very enjoyable, because we were learning progressively. What we learnt one day was immediately useful the next, so we were able to assimilate the concepts well. Secondly, our day was well structured: we started with a theoretical presentation, then worked on the exercises on our own before working with the other course participants. Above all, there was always someone to support us or help us whenever we got stuck, which made learning even smoother and more effective.
How has this training helped you in your career development?
I really became aware of a lot of shortcomings in the way I had previously handled data. Thanks to the course, I've discovered a whole host of techniques, tools and solutions that I was completely unfamiliar with. With everything I've learnt, I'm convinced that I'll be able to significantly optimise my future professional work and become more efficient.
If you had to describe the School of Data in one word, what would it be?
In a word, cool, because it's a very good course, a very good team, and above all a very good atmosphere in the professional environment.

What is the training format?
You choose the format! Training can be face-to-face, distance learning or hybrid! Everything is designed so that you can follow the course from our classroom or from home, as you wish. We've made this choice to optimise your learning during the course.

Who are the teachers?
Your teachers are Data Scientists, Analysts or Senior Engineers by trade. This is very important to us, because they work at the very heart of one of the leaders in Data: Artefact. This means that the tutors are in daily contact with Artefact customers and are responding to real, topical issues in the field. Our training courses are therefore designed around what they experience on a daily basis.
