What was your background before enrolling on the course?
My name is Edwige N Cho, and I have just over ten years' experience in strategic consulting in the telecoms and media sector.
How did you hear about the School of Data?
I've decided to do a Data Analytics course because I'm looking for a career change. I want to combine my consulting skills with new data skills to become a data consultant. Now, it's very rare to do strategy consulting assignments without being confronted with the client's data problems, so I need to add these skills to my background (AI, programming language, data manipulation and data visualisation) in order to be effective during my assignments. These are the jobs of the future.
What did you enjoy during your data analytics training?
The course enabled me to learn all the fundamental skills of a data analyst. Both in mastering programming tools like SQL and Python. But also in creating data pipelines, cleaning and transforming databases, as well as the whole data visualisation side of things, to put the data into perspective for better decision-making.
During the course, you're immersed in the Artefact consultancy, so you can meet and talk to data experts (data analysts, data scientists and data consultants) who work on international customer challenges on a daily basis. I was able to ask all my questions about their jobs, project management and tips on the latest data tools in vogue. Thanks to the training, I've gone from using Excel exclusively to mastering all the data tools that are essential for being agile and productive on assignments. I'm now able to clean, process, analyse and predict data.
The big advantage of the course is that I have a mentor with me throughout the bootcamp. He's a data expert from Artefact who's there to guide me, answer my questions about my career choices and help me with the interviews. I'm very happy with this course, which I'd recommend to anyone who wants to embark on a data career. It's intensive but professional, and we work on real cases encountered by the world's biggest companies.
What are your career plans?
My plan is to become a Business Analyst or Data Consultant to combine my experience in strategic consulting with my new skills in data analytics.

Are our courses face-to-face and/or distance learning?
We recommend that you come to one of our face-to-face courses to be at the heart of the leader in Data and Artificial Intelligence. However, if you prefer or if you can't do otherwise, our courses can also be taken at a distance or as a hybrid! Everything is designed so that you can follow our courses from our classroom or from home, as you wish. We have made this choice to optimise your learning during the course.
What support is there to help you find a job?
Every day, our students have the opportunity to work alongside Artefact employeesone of the leaders in Data. This means that every day, they meet Data Scientists, Analysts, Engineers, Data Consultants and Data Marketing experts who make up their team. professional network and increase their chances of securing a future position with Artefact or with a partner.
In addition, we offer a Career Day to help you find a job. This includes workshops on job hunting, preparing CVs and LinkedIn profiles, as well as advice on technical interviews.
Who are the teachers?
Your tutors are Data Scientists, Analysts or Senior Engineers by trade. This is very important to us because they work at the very heart of one of the leaders specialising in Data and AI: Artefact. This means that the teachers are in daily contact with Artefact customers and are responding to real, current issues in the field. Our training courses are therefore designed around what they experience on a daily basis.
