What was your background before enrolling on the course?
I'm Brigitte Fauvet, Product Manager specialising in digital innovation. My career path began with a doctorate in mathematics, where I specialised in image processing. This expertise then led to more than 10 years working in R&D in artificial intelligence, initially in SS2I (IT Engineering Services Companies), with a focus on image processing, then on search engines.
After this highly technical period, I wanted to move towards a more global vision of digital products. So I moved into Product Management, with a decade of experience in start-ups and major groups. My role was to design new user experiences by harnessing the power of digital services.
Today, with the major advances in AI and data, I wanted to update my skills to better understand the new paradigms and integrate these developments into my future projects.
Why did you choose the School of Data?
What attracted me in the first place was Artefact School of Data's reputation as a benchmark in artificial intelligence in France. Unlike other more theoretical courses, this one stands out for its direct links with the business world.
One of the strong points of the School of Data is that it takes participants right into the heart of a company, enabling them to immerse themselves immediately in the real business issues surrounding data and AI. This was exactly what I was looking for: practical, applied training that would enable me to connect theory with operational implementation.
What aspects of the Data Analytics course did you find most rewarding?
There were a number of elements that marked my experience, but if I had to single out one in particular, it would be the quality of the courses and the experience of the trainers. Each module was led by professionals from the sector, who shared not only academic knowledge, but above all concrete cases, feedback and tried and tested best practice.
One of the aspects that struck me most was the way in which experiential learning is integrated into the programme. You're not just watching a lecture: you're applying, exchanging and building together. This type of learning encourages rapid skills development and confronts us with the real issues of Product Management in a data context.
The second strong point of the course is the interaction between the participants. By being surrounded by professionals from different backgrounds, I was able to learn an enormous amount from the others, about their challenges and their strategies for integrating AI and data into their businesses. These enriching exchanges really enhanced the impact of the course.
How has this training helped you in your professional development?
I've acquired a solid methodology for managing data projects, which now gives me real confidence in my approach. The structured approach taught by Artefact has given me concrete tools that I can apply directly to my projects.
But beyond the technical and methodological skills, this training has given me a new vision of the market and emerging opportunities. I discovered the growing importance of creative agencies in the adoption of AI. They are no longer content to just create content or marketing campaigns: they are actively participating in the democratisation of artificial intelligence among the general public.
Because Artefact is at the heart of this ecosystem, I've had the opportunity to explore new perspectives, to envisage projects where AI innovation and digital creativity meet. I'm particularly interested in this aspect for the rest of my career, and I can't wait to explore these new opportunities.
What are your future aspirations in Data Product Management?
With this training, I've consolidated my skills in Data Product Management, and I'm more motivated than ever to explore the new opportunities offered by AI in product development.
I'd like to continue working on innovative products, where data and artificial intelligence create value for users. My aim is to connect technological advances with intelligent and intuitive user experiences.
I'm also interested in the impact of generative AI on product design and user experience. This technological revolution will transform the way we interact with digital services, and I want to be at the forefront of these developments.
Finally, I remain open to collaborations with start-ups or innovative agencies, because AI and data are powerful catalysts today for reinventing Product Management.
If you had to describe the School of Data in one word, what would it be?
I'd say "referent", because the ecosystem created around Artefact makes it a reference that I'll be following for a long time to come. But also 'inspiring', because I've met people who are passionate about data and AI, and that's given me a great deal of energy for the future.
