What was your background before joining the Data Engineering course?
My background has always been in IT, with a strong interest in systems and software architecture. I obtained a diploma in computer systems engineering from IT Formation in Evry, which enabled me to develop a solid technical base. Originally, I hadn't considered specialising in Data Engineering. However, after receiving a proposal for a Data Engineering course from France Travail, I discovered that several of the subjects covered, such as data flow management and cloud infrastructures, corresponded to my areas of interest. I realised that these skills could perfectly complement my technical background and open up new career prospects, which finally convinced me to enrol.
What did you particularly enjoy during your training in Data Engineering?
To be honest, I had a fairly general knowledge of the Data Engineer profession, but I hadn't yet explored the specific technologies and tools in the field in depth. By taking the course, I discovered new approaches and advanced methodologies, which gave me a better understanding of the data ecosystem.
What I particularly enjoyed was learning about real technologies that are in great demand on the market. I was able to acquire key skills that have already been very useful to me and will continue to be so throughout my career. As well as the technical aspects, the course also enabled me to work on practical cases that were close to the real issues in the business, making the learning even more rewarding and directly applicable in the workplace.
What tools and technologies have you learned to master?
One of the great things about this course is that it's very practical. I was able to work with tools that are widely used by companies, including python, SQL, Apache Airflow, Docker, etc.
If you had to describe the School of Data in one word, what would it be?
Revealing. This course has enabled me to discover and develop skills that I hadn't previously considered. It has opened my eyes to an exciting field with huge opportunities on the job market.

Are our courses face-to-face and/or distance learning?
We recommend that you come to one of our face-to-face courses to be at the heart of the leader in Data and Artificial Intelligence. However, if you prefer or if you can't do otherwise, our courses can also be taken at a distance or as a hybrid! Everything is designed so that you can follow our courses from our classroom or from home, as you wish. We have made this choice to optimise your learning during the course.
What support is there to help you find a job?
Every day, our students have the opportunity to work alongside Artefact employeesone of the leaders in Data. This means that every day, they meet Data Scientists, Analysts, Engineers, Data Consultants and Data Marketing experts who make up their team. professional network and increase their chances of securing a future position with Artefact or with a partner.
In addition, we offer a Career Day to help you find a job. This includes workshops on job hunting, preparing CVs and LinkedIn profiles, as well as advice on technical interviews.
Who are the teachers?
Your tutors are Data Scientists, Analysts or Senior Engineers by trade. This is very important to us because they work at the very heart of one of the leaders specialising in Data and AI: Artefact. This means that the teachers are in daily contact with Artefact customers and are responding to real, current issues in the field. Our training courses are therefore designed around what they experience on a daily basis.
