Alumni story: strengthening its Data Analytics skills

PROMO 2025

Olivier Iberti

Data Analyst

Read the inspiring story of Olivier, an alumnus of the Data Analytics training !

What was your background before joining the data analytics course?

Hi, my name is Olivier and I'm doing a Data Analyst training course at Artefact.

I did a DUT in IT before that, as well as a business school in digital marketing. I've had a number of experiences in IT project management, particularly in information systems.

Why did you choose Artefact School of Data?

I chose to join this course because I felt it was a natural extension of my career path, given that I've done a lot of project management work, including some assignments as a data consultant.

Before, I used to do a lot of data analysis, mainly on Excel, fairly simple stuff, and I wanted to specialise, to have this fairly professional aspect to the methodology and in particular the different tools, whether they be tools like Looker Studio, DataIQ, BI or Python, to be a real Data Analyst.

What did you find most complicated about the data analytics training course?

I wouldn't say there's any real complexity, because I think we're fairly well supervised and the courses are very clear. I find that the Data Analyst course is 10 weeks plus 2 weeks of project work. It's a bootcamp course that goes extremely quickly, so I think you need to have some knowledge of IT.

That was the case for me, and I know that it helped a lot, because there are times when you're taking courses that go really fast, and you have to hang on, but it's really interesting.

What did you like best about your data analytics training?

I think what I liked best was not only learning a new profession and new tools in terms of knowledge, but also meeting people who share the same interest. During my training, I was in a Data Analytics group. We worked with Data Analysts, Data Scientists and also Data Engineers. It's really interesting to talk to them, to get their vision, and also to be able to interact at project level. I think that's the best part, the collaborative aspect.

A word for teachers?

We had quite different types of teachers, all with expertise in their field. You can tell they're passionate about what they do, and it was a real pleasure, in any case, to be able to talk to them and, above all, to be accompanied by them. They're there all the time during the courses. In the afternoon, we put into practice what we've learned in the morning with exercises, and the teachers are there to help us.

If I had to recommend anything, it would be not to hesitate to call on them all the time. Whenever there's a problem, they're always there to help.
